HafenCity Run 2022 - Running for a good cause

The “HafenCity Run” is Northern Germany’s largest company and charity run. After a forced break due to Covid-19, on the 18th of June 2022 the event finally took place again on the occasion of the 20th anniversary.  The run was scheduled about 4km through the growing quarters of the HafenCity. 

More than 30 employees & related family members from the Jebsen & Jessen Group participated for the good cause. The donations were collected for the association “Hamburger Abendblatt hilft e. V.” that supports disadvantaged children & teenagers in the area of Hamburg. The association is financing free time activities, consultation offers, lunch opportunities and vacation projects.

In addition to that they also put emphasis on the support of single parents, socially weak families and needy seniors. These people receive financial support for furniture, therapy, clothes, medical expenses and general cost of living.   

This year, a donation of over 48,000 euros was collected, which will benefit charitable projects in Hamburg.  

As in previous years the participation of the Jebsen & Jessen Hamburg Group at the HafenCity Run was organized from our sports committee.
